Methodical Tutor

I enjoy helping peers feel confident in science by breaking down complex concepts into approachable steps. Working with students in chemistry, physics, and math has taught me to be thoughtful and attentive, adapting my explanations to each student’s needs. Tutoring is both rewarding and motivating, as I see immediate results in students’ understanding while reinforcing my own problem-solving skills and deepening my grasp of the material.

I work side by side with teachers to ensure the greatest growth in each student. Their growth is monitored through MAP/standardized tests and in-school grades, and each student is given an individualized curriculum based on their needs. When applicable, I use the Soft Algebra Curriculum--that I went through myself and partially contributed to--that works to introduce and then master algebraic concepts in a clear and approachable way.

I’m flexible to meet the needs and goals of the student and schedule sessions accordingly, ranging from from multiple meetings a week to one-off test preparation sessions.
